What to Expect When You Arrive for Your Visit

Thank you for choosing Arlington Center for Dermatology. If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call us at
(817) 795-7546.

In our office you will find a friendly staff and knowledgeable and competent dermatologists and dermatology assistants. To prepare for your visit you will need to be complete a few forms. You can download these pre-visit forms by clicking here.

While in our lobby you can enjoy current magazines, a large screen television and other informative and helpful displays of up-to-date dermatological information.

Your Provider

All new patients are seen be a board-certified dermatologist.  If your new patient appointment is made with a PA (physician's assistant) or NP (nurse practitioner), ACD policy is for you to see them in adjunct with a board-certified dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment.

As an established patient, you are the customer, and you have the ability to choose the provider with whom you wish to make an appointment. You can make your appointment requests (and specify your provider if you have a preference) during your visits while still in the patient room or online through the Patient Portal system or by phone.  If you have any complicated or extensive surgery requirements, a board-certified dermatologist will also treat you on a given visit.

Your Time
We know your time is valuable will do our best to see you promptly. Please check with at the front window if you desire an update on the status of your visit.

Identification
Please have your insurance card and driver’s license available for us to copy. We will ask to see both your current insurance card and photo identification on each of your visits. Please be sure to bring these items with you on each visit.

Payment
Please be prepared to pay your office co-pay if your medical insurance policy stipulates that you have one. We are required by Federal Law to collect co-payments on all visits with our providers. Self-pay patients must pay for all services performed that day before leaving the office.

Referrals
If your insurance requires a referral from your primary care provider, please make sure your referral is current. If we do not have record of a current referral for you, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment or you may choose to be seen as a “self-pay” patient and pay all fees for your visit before you leave. If you are seen and your referral is not current you may be responsible for for all charges resulting from your visit.

Order of Patients Being Seen
Due to the wide variety of services we provide, please be aware that not all patients are here for the same service. Our office is served by multiple providers. Other patients may be seeing providers other than yours.  Patients may be called out of order due to the different nature of his or her appointment.

Minors
If you are a minor (under 18 years old) and wish to be seen without a responsible adult present, we must have a waiver signed on file by an adult responsible for you. We also need to make a copy of a picture id of this responsible adult.

Lateness
Please be aware that if you are more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.

If you have any comments or concerns, please leave your contact information with the receptionist and office management will contact you.  Thank you for your cooperation.
