What
to Expect When You Arrive for Your Visit

choosing Arlington Center for Dermatology. If
you would like to schedule an appointment,

In our office you
will find a friendly staff and knowledgeable and
competent dermatologists and dermatology
assistants. To prepare for your visit you will
need to be complete a few forms. You can
download these
pre-visit forms by clicking here.
While in our
lobby you can enjoy current magazines, a large
screen television and other informative and
helpful displays of up-to-date dermatological
information.
Your Provider
All new patients
are seen be a board-certified dermatologist.
If your new patient appointment is made with a
PA (physician's assistant) or NP (nurse
practitioner), ACD policy is for you to see them
in adjunct with a board-certified dermatologist
for diagnosis and treatment.
As an established
patient, you are the customer, and you have the
ability to choose the provider with whom you
wish to make an appointment. You can make your
appointment requests (and specify your provider
if you have a preference) during your visits
while still in the patient room or online
through the Patient Portal system or by phone.
If you have any complicated or extensive surgery
requirements, a board-certified dermatologist
will also treat you on a given visit.
Your Time
We know your time is valuable will do our best
to see you promptly. Please check with at the
front window if you desire an update on the
status of your visit.
Identification
Please have your insurance card and driver’s
license available for us to copy. We will ask to
see both your current insurance card and photo
identification on each of your visits. Please be
sure to bring these items with you on each
visit.
Payment
Please be prepared to pay your office co-pay if
your medical insurance policy stipulates that
you have one. We are required by Federal Law to
collect co-payments on all visits with our
providers. Self-pay patients must pay for all
services performed that day before leaving the
office.
Referrals
If your insurance requires a referral from your
primary care provider, please make sure your
referral is current. If we do not have record of
a current referral for you, you may be asked to
reschedule your appointment or you may choose to
be seen as a “self-pay” patient and pay all fees
for your visit before you leave. If you are seen
and your referral is not current you may be
responsible for for all charges resulting from
your visit.
Order of
Patients Being Seen
Due to the wide variety of services we provide,
please be aware that not all patients are here
for the same service. Our office is served by
multiple providers. Other patients may be seeing
providers other than yours. Patients may
be called out of order due to the different
nature of his or her appointment.
Minors
If you are a minor (under 18 years old) and wish
to be seen without a responsible adult present,
we must have a waiver signed on file by an adult
responsible for you. We also need to make a copy
of a picture id of this responsible adult.
Lateness
Please be aware that if you are more than 15
minutes late for a scheduled appointment, you
may be asked to reschedule.
